The Pool Cottage

THE POOL COTTAGE

The four-season newly renovated cottage consists of baseboard heating and electric fire-place. For the warmer nights, a portable window AC is available to cool off. It is one of 2 cottages on the same property about 80 feet apart. Easy access to the pool just off the cottage deck with your own BBQ on deck with one full tank of propane (refills available at a charge). Picnic benches as well as seating area under a large gazebo with mosquito netting overlooking the pool and lake. It is a great way to relax and soak up the sun. **POOL WILL BE OPEN VICTORIA DAY WEEKEND TO LABOUR DAY**

The space
The outstanding view of the lake and the outdoor pool overlooking the beautiful upper Rideau is breathtaking. Gorgeous sunsets at dusk just from this cottage deck is something extraordinary. The quiet and relaxing atmosphere is something everyone should experience. There is a little bit of everything for everyone.
 

Guest access
Pool access is for guests occupying this cottage only. Other cottage on property has access to lake only. Please note the pool does not have a heating system but it warms up quite well in the summer months as we have direct sun for most of the day
Boardwalk and access to the dock for swimming on the lake or boat docking will be shared spaces for all guests on property.
All guests must park in the designated guest parking
 

Features of the Pool Cottage (sleeps 6) include:

  • Private outdoor saltwater pool just outside your cottage (No heating system as it warms quite well in the summer with direct sunlight)

  • Your very own BBQ with BBQ utensils and propane tank provided (seasonal). Refills available at a charge

  • Microwave, fridge, coffee maker

  • Wifi

  • TV with Netflix and Disney channel which is great for young kids and adults alike

  • Self-check in with key code access for entry

  1. Bed linen provided for 1 week stays or more.

  2. For stays under one week: Blankets/comforters/sheets/towels are NOT provided. We recommend to bring their own bed linen and blankets, towels etc...

  3. ***please note that due to covid-19 towels are not provided. Please bring your own if possible, if you forget something it is available upon request.***

Don’t forget your fishing Rods as there’s plenty of fish in the lake off the dock on property. (Live bait recommended)

If you enjoy spending time on the lake, a canoe and kayak available for a fee.

  • Checkout: 10:00 a.m.

  • Self check-in with lockbox

  • No smoking

Additional rules

Please no outside shoes inside cottage. All garbage and recycling items to be separated; plastics, cans and glass bottles in one blue recycling bag. Fibre, cardboard, boxes in a separate blue recycling bag. All garbage items in clear bags only. No Black garbage bags allowed based on the Rideau township recycling and garbage standards. No smoking inside the cottage please. The cottage to be kept the same when checked in. There are 2 cottages on property about 80 feet away from each other. keep in mind other guests will be on property and some noise can be expected, however quiet times have been implemented from 11pm-7am. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
